I'll dominate 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" the American as the combatants met personally to promote next month's bout.

Former two time world title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK rival Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's largest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly happening.
